Discover the vineyard and enjoy wine tasting day tour in Alsace

Along the 170 kilometers of the Alsace wine route, nearly 4,000 winegrowers cultivate their vines lined up around picturesque and flowery villages. Three-quarters of them then deliver their grapes to cooperatives or traders. A little over 900 Alsatian winegrowers produce a multitude of different wines and bottle them themselves.

Discover the vineyard during a wine tour in Alsace. From the north to the south of the region, the terroirs are numerous and very different. The combination of grape varieties and terroirs personalized by the “paw” of the winemaker gives a multitude of wines which have risen to the rank of the greatest wines in the world. But it can be difficult to navigate for a visitor from afar. We will take you to meet some of the best winemakers in the region and taste exceptional wines.

The list below is non-exhaustive. Do you want to discover a particular area? We are in contact with famous estates like Hugel in Riquewihr, Trimbach in Ribeauvillé, Marcel Deiss in Bergheim, Zusslin in Orschwihr, let us know your wishes in the contact form at the bottom of the page.

During a wine tasting, we will go to the winemaker’s tasting cellar and let ourselves be guided by our host who will make us taste wonderful wines. All this, speaking of the Alsace vineyards of course ?

Taste the Grands Crus of Riquewihr and Sparling Wine in Dopff au Moulin
Taste the Grands Crus of Riquewihr and Sparling Wine in Dopff au Moulin

13 Generations Dedicated To Winemaking in Riquewihr. Being wine-growers first of all, the Dopff Family advocate a highly ethical approach of their job that leads them to only produce wines under their name, from better grapes that have been lovingly matured according to traditional rules. We will share a good moment by tasting Sparkling Wines and some of them Grand Crus Wines.

For an unforgettable day tour in Alsace, it is possible to combine one or two wine-tastings with other points of interests. Here is a page with some ideas about nice wine-tour program in Alsace.

The origins of the Beyer family are intertwined with the history of Alsatian viticulture. The house’s archives attest to its presence in Eguisheim from the end of the 16th century. The Beyer family is historically very well established in the Grands Crus of Eguisheim. Each terroir reveals its subtlety and unique character with organic farming of the vines. You will taste some of their great wines and receive explanations about Alsace Wine

Wine-Tour at Robert Roth estate in the south of Alsace

Robert Roth estate is an incredible winemaker to discover during a wine tour in Alsace
Robert Roth estate is an incredible winemaker to discover during a wine tour in Alsace

It is in Soultz, a small town located at the southern gates of the Alsace vineyards, that the Roth family cultivates vines on the sandstone and limestone terroirs of the hills resting at the foot of the Grand Ballon D’Alsace. Today it’s Victor and Charlotte ROTH who make the heart of Domaine Robert ROTH beat. Passionate about the diversity of the terroirs of this little-known part of Alsace, it is by combining high standards, rigor and sensitivity that the family produces Great Wines, identifiable by their size, their precision and their longevity, without forgetting their great capacity to accompany gastronomy. You will taste some of their great wines and receive explanations about Vin D’Alsace.

Arriving at the Schlumberger wine-estate, we will go in their 4X4 to discover the fabulous vineyard in Guebwiller. When we will be back, we will enjoy a detailed tour of the cellar installations and our century-old barrel room. To finish this incredible experience, we will enjoy an incredible 11 wines tasting.

I love this riesling from the estate Bores. A crispy, full of citrus flavor and dry riesling.

Borès estate is nestled at the foot of the highest hill in the foothills of the Vosges. The Alsatian village of Reichsfeld is fortunate to have two different terroirs, one of Schist and one of sandstone. The Borès family produces wines of character. Spectacular is the first word jumps to mind when thinking of our day out and about with Pierre! He is an incredible guide and an absolute joy to spend a day with in his beloved Alsace. He took us to three beautiful villages to see Christmas markets, and threw in a couple of extra bonuses, including a delicious lunch at a great restaurant in a little spot above Colmar and a quick visit to his charming hometown, which has a very interesting twist on the history of Christmas. Our day with Pierre was a true highlight of our visit to the area. Would certainly do another tour with Pierre next time we're in Alsace. Thank you for creating a magical memory!

We just left the beautiful Alsace region of France with wonderful memories to take home with us. Most of this was made possible by our guide and driver, Pierre. His knowledge of the area and its history was impressive. He recommended the best markets and restaurants to visit, and he was flexible if we wanted to make a change or two. Leaving is bittersweet, but we will return to lovely Riquewihr and for sure will contact our new friend, Pierre. The experience was a PERFECT 10!

My Mom and I had a wonderful time with Pierre. He is so kind and has a great knowledge for the best places and markets to visit. My Grandpa was in WWII so he also showed us some sights in Alsace regarding the war that were interesting. I’m so happy to have seen things we never would have known about without Pierre. Highly recommend!

We were a group of 6 visiting Strasbourg after Porto. At Frankfurt airport we opted for Pierre Papuga’s 7 seater minivan airport transfer instead of Lufthansa’s coach service or the TGV. We were warmly greeted by Pierre whom we found to be extremely friendly, patient and passionate in ensuring that our 3 day stay in Strasbourg would be an enjoyable experience! Under his care n guidance, we visited Heidelberg enroute Strasbourg and the numerous neighbouring villagers during our stay. We were deeply impressed by his knowledge of the Alsace region, it’s historical development and all the fascinating sights at the villages we visited. For those with interests in wine and vineyards visits, we think Pierre will be an ideal guide due to his knowledge and passion for the wines in the region. We find Pierre extremely helpful and patient in his interactions with us and highly recommend him to those interested in visiting the Alsace region! Mark Foo, Singapore.

He answered all of our questions and we left with so much more knowledge!! We left with a new friend. Thank you Pierre.
